November Key Highlights:

  • UK online retail sales, in November 2021, reported a 19.8% Year-on-Year decrease
  • Month-on-Month the industry increased 40.4% from October
  • Black Friday was down 14% YOY

The biggest month of the year arrived with much anticipation, and baited breath from retailers. However, it ultimately fell afoul of the same issues that have plagued online retail all year – 2020 was simply too big to beat. This year was the first time in the history of IMRG’s market tracking that November reported negative year-on-year growth. So whilst we can all stop holding our breath…we may not exactly be breathing a sigh of relief.
