- In December 2021, UK online retail sales reported a 6.4% Year-on-Year decrease
- Month-on-Month, the industry decreased 7.4% from November
- Online retail grew by 2.7% across 2021 – a complex result
Online retail closed off 2021 with a less than stellar Christmas trading period, reporting a -6.4% Year-on-Year decline for December. The YOY results are largely in-line with expectations and are mainly the product of a covid-disrupted December in 2020 (as has been the case for most of 2021 trading).
