Mixed performance for travel brands in June retailer ranking

The latest quarterly IMRG comScore Retailer Ranking (based on June data from the comScore MMX Multi-platform) has revealed a mixed performance for travel brands, with Expedia (-7 places), EasyJet (-7), Thomas Cook (-6), The Train Line (-1) and Lastminute.com (-1) all falling and BA (+13), Thomson (+10) and Ryanair (+1) gaining position compared with June 2015.

In the smartphone ranking, BA (#30) was the biggest climber – gaining +48 places on June 2015 – although it is currently positioned highest on the tablet ranking (#6). The biggest riser in the tablet ranking was First Choice, which was up a staggering +159 positions.

Amazon UK, Argos, Tesco and Apple took the top 4 places across all rankings (overall, smartphone and tablet) – which has been the case for the past three quarters.

The mobile networks tend to perform much better in the smartphone ranking, with EE (#5), Three (#9) and O2 (#10) all in the top 10 – whereas only EE (#8) is in the overall top 10, with O2 at #15 and Three at #24.
