Reporting June 2016 Performance

• UK e-retail sales grew 16.5% year-on-year in June, resulting in overall annual growth during the second quarter reaching 14.3%

• The Index rose 2.3% between May and June, in line with historical trends

• The June performance is on the back of strong growth in the same month last year, when the Index grew 18.2% year-on-year

• Excluding travel, e-retail sales grew 18.4% year-on-year – the strongest growth for this group since June last year

• Britons spent an estimated £10.8 billion shopping online last month, resulting in total estimated spend during H1 reaching £59.4 billion – this is up from £52.0 billion in the first half of 2015
