Reporting January 2017 Performance

• ​UK online retail sales grew 11.9% in January
• Month-on-month performance was minus 24.4%
• Excluding travel, the Index recorded annual growth of 11.8% and a monthly decline of 36.1% from December
• Mobile retail sales (tablets & smartphones) grew 11.8% year-on-year in January, and declined 27.1% from the previous month
• The electricals market reported a second month of negative year on year growth with minus 8.5%.
