Gulf Oil International Website Redesigned by Chapter EightLeeds, UK (08 December 2011):
Leading web design agency Chapter Eight has announced the launch of a completely re-designed website for global oil company Gulf Oil International.
The Leeds-based agency, which specialises in web design, ecommerce and digital marketing, has worked with Gulf Oil since 2006 when it was appointed to build the current extranet and previous website. This time the brief was to provide a sleeker user experience.
The website's overall appearance has been refreshed and has received added improvements to support the latest search engine optimisation requirements, as well as better product search facilities that allow visitors to find Gulf Oil merchandise more swiftly.
The improved product imagery increases visual appeal and will enhance Gulf Oil’s online presence, raising awareness of products, and services. Gulf Oil stocks a variety of lubricants and oils, as well as clothing sporting the widely recognised orange logo.
Mario Thomas, Managing Director of Chapter Eight, said: “We are delighted that Gulf Oil chose to work with us again to redevelop and redesign their website. The 2006 website required a general upgrade to improve its appearance and where possible, minimise the use of flash in favour of standards compliant technology; the website now has a much improved design which makes better use of screen space”.
