B&Q Help Hitachi Capital Celebrate Its 30th Anniversary by Securing a Multi-Million Retail Credit

Following a competitive tender process, Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance, the UK’s number one provider of point of sale finance, has been appointed by B&Q to provide finance options, including interest free credit, to customers across its 349 UK store network.

Lisa Harrison, head of business development at Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance commented “Our bespoke systems were instrumental in securing the deal. Using our e-learning package we were able to simultaneously train all B&Q staff on the finance products; rolling out the new credit facility in record breaking time allowing B&Q to capitalise on the deal almost immediately.

Hitachi Capital’s 1,200 retail partners, from national retailers, such as DFS, to bespoke and independent online retailers such as PC specialist, are increasingly looking to consumer finance incentives, such as interest free credit, to boost sales, as consumers seek alternatives to loans and credit cards.
