Survey finds 4G will accelerate mobile shopping

Cross-border Online Sales to reach £10bn for UK Retailers in 2013
Cross-border sales in Europe are set to reach €36bn in 2013 to account for 10.6% of total online sales in the region, according to IMRG. In 2012 the value of cross-border sales were estimated to be worth €26bn.

Hot Shops List - February 2013
Not surprisingly, travel companies dominated the Hot Shops List during the peak winter travel period, accounting for 11 of the top 50 retailers by visits. The fastest movers within travel were Thomas Cook (up 25 places from the last quarter), Thomson (+15), Travel Republic (+12) and British Airways (up 10 places). One notable absence this time from the top 50 list was First Choice, having only reached 56th position in the rankings.

Strong Start to the Year for Online Sales
The Online retail market has got off to a strong start in 2013, with the IMRG Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index recording 16% year-on-year growth in January. This represents a month-on-month decline of 27% on December 2012, which is a common trend following the peak Christmas shopping period.
