Sainsbury’s launches mobile grocery shopping site
Sainsbury’s has launched a mobile optimised website offering customers its full range of 20,000 grocery products, available for purchase via mobiles and handheld devices. The site is accessible from any mobile device and operating system and allows customers to browse and search for products. Customers can also purchase non-food items using their mobile phone and have orders delivered using Sainsbury’s Click & Collect service to one of over 870 stores.
Tanya Lawler, Sainsbury's director of digital & cross channel, said: "We launched our mobile site for non-food last year and have used the knowledge and feedback gained to produce a complete mobile shopping experience.
"Customers can now browse a full range of grocery products and shop at their convenience - or just add that pint of milk to their shop while waiting for the bus home. We're confident that the mobile grocery shopping will be a big hit with shoppers.
"Our goal is to make our customers' lives easier and deliver the best possible shopping experience - whether in store, at home on their computer or on the go."
