ASOS.com sweeps the board at the e-Commerce Awards for Excellence 2009
Last night at a glittering ceremony in London’s West End the e-Commerce Industry came together for the inaugural E-Commerce Awards for excellence. In what turned out to be an outstanding evening for ASOS.com, they walked away with four awards including the prestigious OnLine Gold Award (OLGA) voted by the Members of IMRG.
Sainsbury’s and Ocado were the other big winners, winning two awards each.
David Smith, Director of Operations at IMRG said “The UK e-Commerce Industry in 2009 will top £50bn in sales, so it is fitting that we should come together to celebrate and recognise those companies who are making outstanding contributions to the market. It is no surprise given the industry we are in that there was a very long tail of e-commerce sites voted for by the IMRG membership. Given their performance elsewhere in the Awards, ASOS.com are worthy winners of this year’s OLGA.
