Asda launches online personalised greeting card service
Asda has partnered with Hallmark to offer an online personalised greetings card service on its web site. The online service, launched in time for Christmas, allows customers to create and send personalised greeting cards with prices ranging from £1.90 to £5.75 plus postage. The Walmart-owned retailer aims to take a share of the popular online personalised cards market, made famous by online retailer Moonpig, which sells over 6 million personalised cards each year.
Other retailers offering online personalised greeting cards include e-retail start-up Whamoosh, Marks & Spencer and Zazzle. Clinton Cards is planning to launch a similar service next year.
